ExperienceChase has significant experience working with university students inside and outside of the classroom, particularly in the areas of analytical and research writing, literary analysis and criticism, and cultural theory.
In the past, Chase worked as a teaching assistant for Duke University's Talent Identification Program (TIP). In this role, he provided in-class and individual tutoring for high-achieving high school students. He regularly lectured on special topics related to the course(s), including methodology and practice, literary and cultural interpretation, and cultural and social diversity lessons. He critiqued student writing, facilitated poetry workshops, and examined in-classroom linguistic and literary devices associated with student writing.
After his undergraduate degree, he served as an English Enrichment Tutor for the Young Scholars College Success Program at The Ohio State University. His core duties involved working with university students to prepare critical first-year essays, attending mock lectures, and observing attendance and student behavior.
Chase has strong experience with English research writing, especially persuasive and creative writing, and writing for professional communications, as proven by his continued participation in university research conferences, publications, and lectures.
